Teaching Practic



Before I did my teaching practice, of course, I received guidance on what activities were going on and which parts I should bring up in class. Before that, I had to complete the lesson plan and give it to Mrs. Olat. She told me about the outlines that I needed to fill in my lesson plan. On the first day I entered the class for observation, unexpectedly I was given the trust by Mrs. Olat to do teaching practice the next day. Of course, I immediately accepted, especially since I was pressed for time, which was only a month.

After overthinking until I couldn't sleep, it was time for me to start my teaching practice. I still remember that it was the 11th STEM F schedule, I was very nervous but seeing them welcoming me so well I promised to do my best. I will never forget that precious experience, when they took notes on what I said and even encouraged me for the next class. They were very active in asking questions of course and it amazed me that their passion for learning had such a big impact on me to come back to teach again. 

Because I taught using the laboratory method, I spent more time in the lab. I explained about the Cell Cycle, then I mostly followed Mam Olat's way of explaining with a little additional adlib from me. To motivate the students to learn, I first displayed a picture of the shape of cell division through the LED TV, this certainly worked because the students' curiosity was very high.
